CBSE Conducting Body Details

The conducting body, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) organizes the JEE Mains every year for all the applicants eligible for the exam. CBSE board which has been established in the year 1952 conducts various other examinations in the state such as 10th and 12th. The board previously used to conduct AIEEE test for the eligible applicants who are seeking admission in to the UG courses at national level such as architecture and Engineering in the institutions of India based on their eligibility. But, in 2013 AIEEE was joined up with IIT-JEE which is now called as JEE commonly which will have mains and advanced tests. So, at present CBSE is conducting the JEE Exam for the eligible candidates the admission in to various branches of Engineering, B.Arch, B.Planning, BE Courses in NITs, SFIs, IIITs and CFTIs etc. top institutions. Along with that, CBSE also conducts National Eligibility Test, AIPMT (All India Pre Medical Test) and other tests too.

Previously, CBSE has released the exam notification for the JEE Mains 2016 and invited the applications from the interested eligible candidates. Lakhs of candidates who have taken part in the exam based on their eligibility can check the JEE Mains 2016 paper 1 and paper 2 exam results on 27th of April 2016. After that in the month of June, the All India Rank will be assigned for the score obtained in the exam. The results that will be issued on April for the JEE Mains exam will only have the results related score or the marks that are displayed in the merit list.The candidates will also be given the All India Rank (AIR) for JEE Mains 2016 based on the criteria that is as follows. If the candidates is having tie i.e., having equal scores then, 60 percent of the weightage will be given to the performance in the exam and 40 percent of the weightage to normalized score that is from taken from the class 12th or else its equivalent exam, inter-se merit of the candidates will be given as per the order that has been given by the CBSE board. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will announce the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2016 results for paper-1 and paper-2 on Wednesday, April 27. The candidates who will be shortlisted based on the results, will be eligible to appear in the JEE (Advanced) 2016 exams.
The examinations for JEE (Main) 2016 paper-1 (B.E./B.Tech) and paper-2 (B.Arch/B.Planning) were conducted on April 3, while online tests for paper-1 were held on April 9 and 10, according to the CBSE's official website for JEE Main.
Students will be able to check their scores on the official website of the CBSE, cbseresults.nic.in, and on jeemain.nic.in when the results are announced. Results will also be published online on the educational website of Jagran Josh, which also allows students to register their contact details and roll number to get the results via SMS or email.
How to register for JEE (Advanced) 2016?
The shortlisted candidates will have to register online for JEE (Advanced) 2016 on the official website of JEE Advanced. The slot for registration will open at 10 a.m. on April 29 and will be closed at 5 p.m. on May 4.
The CBSE will upload the admit cards online for downloads on May 11 and students can access it from 10 a.m. on the same day to 9 a.m. on May 22. Exams for JEE (Advanced) 2016 will be conducted on May 22 — from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for Paper-1 and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. for Paper-2. All other information regarding the same would be available on the JEE Advanced 2016 website.
